The Director, Business Development is responsible for meeting or exceeding his/her annual sales target. Other responsibilities include creating and implementing a sales territory plan, identifying new clients, and growing current client accounts. The Director, Business Development must be passionate about selling, self-motivated, and skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with clients. Strong drug development knowledge is required for this position.
Requires 50% travel (minimum).
Desired Skills & Experience
-Recent sales experience at a CRO (preferably with small or mid-size CRO)
– Minimum of 3-5 years CRO sales experience
– Proven history of meeting or exceeding annual sales targets
– Strong client relationships
– Strong drug development knowledge
– Bachelor’s degree required
– Ambition and self-motivation are essential
– Strong negotiation, organization, and presentation skills are required.
– Candidate must possess strong work ethic and excellent oral and written communication skills
