Why does Hillary generate so much ire?

I got to thinking the other day that the way Hillary generates so much impassioned response, maybe there’s something to it.  It appears she doesn’t have a nice, personality and isn’t very likeable.

From the Daily Mail via Weasel Zippers:

If Hillary Clinton runs, and wins the Presidential race in 2016, the Republicans won’t be the only ones with agita. The Secret Service, who have tangled with Hillary since she became First Lady in 1993, will also be quaking in their lace-ups.

Hillary has been known to hurl a book at the back of the head of one agent driving her in the Presidential limo accusing him of eavesdropping, forget her p’s and q’s by never thanking her protectors and lob profanity-laced orders when she just wanted the agents to carry her bags – a job not on agents’ ‘to do’ list.

‘Stay the f**k away from me! Just f*****g do as I say!!!’ she is quoted as saying to an agent who refused to carry her luggage in the book Unlimited Access by FBI agent Gary Aldridge.

Compared to Hillary’s salty language, Bill Clinton was a gentleman, according to now-retired Secret Service agent, Dan Emmett, who began covering President Clinton on his first day in office in 1993 and writes about guarding the President in a new version of his book Within Arm’s Length, published by St. Martin’s Press.

Kathleen Willey, who Bill Clinton sexually assaulted has started a website calling out her behavior. http://www.ascandaladay.com/ and Linda Tripp has recently broken her 20 year silence with:

Tripp said Hillary was a key leader in White House efforts to squash “bimbo eruptions,” when the West Wing unleashed quick-fire responses to discredit women claiming to have had affairs with Bubba.

“In this endeavor she was ruthless. She destroyed women so that their stories never saw the light of day,” Tripp said.

FOCM New Member Card Ceremony

On December 9, 2014 after a nearly 14 month probationary period, FOCM welcomed Justin Jaeschke into the registry of card-carrying members.  This took place at San Jose Tacos & Tequila 7961 Skyland Ridge Pkwy, Raleigh, NC.  Justin’s continued patience is one of the reasons he received his membership card.  He knows that “patience” is one of the cornerstones of FOCM’s guiding principles.

The Puzzling Behavior of President Obama

Let me see if I understand this accurately:

After Michael Brown, a suspect in a strong-armed robbery was stopped by a police officer, he assaulted the police officer, tried to take his gun, charged him and was shot and killed, President Obama made a statement about it.  He also sent in FBI agents and the Department of Justice.  Three members of the Obama administration attended the funeral.

When Freddie Gray, a criminal involved in 20 criminal court cases, ran from police, was arrested and died in custody from police negligence, President Obama made a statement about it.  He also sent in the Department of Justice.  Three Obama officials attended Freddie Gray’s funeral.

When Eric Garner, arrested by the NYPD thirty times since 1980 on charges such as assault, resisting arrest, grand larceny and selling unlicensed cigarettes died due to police chokehold, compression of his chest, and poor health (asthma, heart disease, obesity – 6’3″ and 350 pounds) President Obama made a statement.

Yet when Kate Steinle, with no criminal record is shot and killed by an illegal immigrant who had been deported 5 times and convicted of several felonies, President Obama makes no statement, doesn’t send the FBI or DOJ to investigate Mayor Ed Lee, the City Council or Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi to find out how such a thing could happen.

So an innocent person shot by a repeat criminal offender illegally in our country receives no mention by our President.  What does this say about him?  That he has more concern and sympathy for criminals!  This is outrageous to me, as if we’ve fallen into another dimension where up is down.

Key Word is Illegal in re: Immigration

What I can’t understand is the desire of Democrats to look the other way on “illegal” activity.  Illegal immigration, illegally entering the country – pretty clear right? ILLEGAL

But, but, but they just want a better life and they provide us with cheap labor for jobs American citizens don’t want, right?  Well then let’s figure out a visiting worker program, register legally to come up here and work.  In other words, have a LEGAL process.  We do have legal processes now for student visas, green cards, etc.  Let’s work on that process to decrease the backlog and time it takes.

I love how skilled Hillary Clinton is at talking out of both sides of her mouth – as a U.S. Senator in 2007 Hillary Clinton voted for a so-called “poison pill” amendment that helped derail immigration reform and now she’s blasting Republicans for being mean to ILLEGAL immigrants.

We have seen how well looking the other way on illegal entry into the country works in the murder of Kate Steinle – #katesteinleslifematters

The mayor and city council and sheriff of San Francisco should be arrested for violating Federal law.  #arrestedlee

FOCM Welcomes Erich McGilvreay

The afternoon of November 20, 2014 found me at The Fish House or maybe it was Dockside on Airlie Road in Wilmington, NC.  There in a back corner of the restaurant sat Pete Nieto and Erich McGilvreay. Okay, okay, I knew they were there, we’d planned to get together.  They’d had a meeting in town and so we caught up over a beer before they headed back to Raleigh.

Erich mentioned that for as long as he’s known me, he still hadn’t received his FOCM card.  There was a good reason for that – his background check was taking a long time to complete.  There were several items which required further investigation.  I’m happy to report that everything checked out and Erich received his card in the traditional ceremony.  While the picture is blurry (Pete Nieto, photographer), Erich’s standing in FOCM has never been clearer.

Flag Controversy

Let me see if I have this right:

I understand that a state should not have any flag other than the US and State Flags flying over state government property.

Also, it’s freedom of expression (a right protected by the Constitution) to stomp on the American Flag, so shouldn’t it also be freedom of expression for an individual to fly or demonstrate a Confederate Flag?  I’m shocked that ebay, Amazon and Valley Forge Flag Co are no longer selling them.

I was born in the North and was glad the North won and slavery was ended.  I have read a ton of Civil War history and the war was also a challenge for the independence of states to govern themselves.  None of us can profess to know or say with definition that anyone who has a Confederate Flag is a racist.  Since this controversy came about I’ve seen people espouse that to many Southerners its part of their heritage and something they identify with, that it was rebellion against the Northern aggressors.

And while I’m stream of consciousness writing, how did this Confederate flag thing become so suddenly important?  The thug who shot those good Christian souls was wearing a flag from the former apartheid government of South Africa.  Did I miss something?  Did they find Confederate flags at his house?

I just google shop searched for confederate flag and it said, my search showed no results.  What the hell?  Not to worry – Yahoo.com searches aren’t censoring.

And can’t you just see those Americans who say: if America would just be nicer to radical Islamist terrorists, they wouldn’t want to kill us – next they’ll say, we need to change the American Flag.  The American Flag incites angry feelings among those who took down the World Trade Center and fought us in Iraq and Afghanistan and killed our men in Benghazi.  The American Flag is that of an oppressive territorial super-power and that’s not fair.  It’s not fair that over 100,000 American soldiers lost their lives saving Europe from tyranny, either.

Clinical Supply Industry Heavyweights

While attending a Clinical Trial Supply East Coast conference, this past October, I managed to capture this rare photo of two of our industry’s heavyweights – a couple of guys with true gravitas.  They managed to pull off a friendly, congenial appearance, while knocking down some Corona at the reception in the exhibit hall.  On left is Joe Clifford with Catalent and on the right is Mike Miller with PCI.
